ATTENTION MINNESOTA BARREL RACERS

The Minnesota Barrel Racing Association is dedicated to promoting the sport of barrel racing within the state of Minnesota.  Here are a few highlights of our organization.

• The MBRA awards fantastic year-end prizes to our top ten members in four separate divisions. In our Open and Rodeo division our year-end champions choose their own trophy saddle up to a value of $1,000 and our junior champion chooses their own trophy saddle up to a value of $500! Including our Peewee division we reward forty members in all. Here is a partial list of the awards given for 2007, Three saddles, ten trophy buckles, halters, 5 Star Saddle Pads with leather corners, custom made breast collars, grooming products, feed, feed supplements, and much, much more.
• The MBRA is a member of the Midwest Match Race Association. Each year in the fall the Midwest Match Race Association holds a state against state barrel race. This race is unique in that it is a ten-person team race with each state sending their top ten barrel racers to run for prizes and bragging rights. The Midwest Match Race Association is made up of the following states, Minnesota , Ohio , Indiana , Wisconsin , Iowa , Kentucky , Missouri , Illinois , and Michigan . This year we will be running in Minnesota with the Match beings hosted by Wisconsin .

• The MBRA hosts jackpot barrel races in several locations throughout the competition season.
• The MBRA point system allows members to earn points towards year end awards at virtually any barrel race, horse show or rodeo in the state of Minnesota.

Our members range from seasoned professionals to novices. They are from International Falls to the Iowa border and everywhere in between. In fact our only requirement for membership is that you must live in the state of Minnesota and LOVE barrel racing.
